Abstract

The design of a mutual inductance coil assembly and its use as the detection device of an inductance bridge (modified Hartshorn bridge) is described. The coil was used to measure the superconducting transition temperature of several materials of known transition temperature and to determine the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition temperature (Curie temperature—T[sub c]) of several powdered uranium-iron compounds.
