Land use--Illinois--Rock River Valley
Abstract
This paper will try to correlate land use along a portion of the Rock River with the geological and topographical features of the area. The main purpose is to describe and classify the various types of land use that border the Rock River and show the correlation of land use to physical terrain. The five primary types of land use mapped and described in the study are: recreational, residential, farming, woodland, and not useable. The distribution of these types will be located, analyzed, and presented on a percentage basis.
