Abstract

This senior voice recital was given as a culmination of all the non-major coursework I did in the vocal area of the NIU School of Music. The project culminated in a full-length recital performed in the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall on April 10th, 2021 that fulfilled the same requisites of a voice major. I was accompanied by graduate student Heewon Cha, performing works by Brahms, Zoras, Saint-Saens, Menotti, and more. The preparation process spanned several months and included many voice lessons, individual practice sessions, and collaborative rehearsals.
