Abstract
Northern Illinois University is looking for ways to improve their hospitality program to remain competitive among other state schools who pose a threat. After collecting all of the hospitality college level programs in the state of Illinois, an evaluation of course offerings was vital to conclude what Northern Illinois University needs most in their program and if any changes need to be made. Among competitors it was found that Eastern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University and Western Illinois University all have components that are more advanced than Northern Illinois University. Northern has the most well rounded program in regards to general hospitality and business. However, more specialty and global classes need to be added if they want the program to grow and prosper.
