Abstract
The Illinois Residence Hall Association (IRHA) conference is an event that happens annually at different schools located in Illinois. It is a student planned conference that has goals to build leadership, create networking opportunities and to have a boardroom session to vote on state legislation for the IRHA organization. At IRHA 2020, NIU presented for IRHA 2021 to be brought back to NIU and got approved. The conference planning team at NIU planned to bring 100-125 students from other Illinois to Dekalb from February 20 through the 21 in 2021. Due to the global pandemic the conference planning team made the tough, but necessary decision to host the conference virtual over Zoom. When the one-day virtual conference finally arrived the host team had a total number of 70 students registered with 50 of those students actually attend. Even though the conference did not happen any way everyone anticipated, IRHA 2021 was a success.
