Abstract
By surveying freshmen and new transfer students, I intend to discover what sources of information new NIU students find most useful. My follow-up interviews are an attempt to discover why students answered as they did and a chance to let them make suggestions to help improve NIU’s information sources. I have analyzed the results of a survey I conducted in STS which asked first semester freshmen and transfer students to rate the usefulness of information sources at this University. In my analysis, I have incorporated comments students made to me during one-on-one interviews. From my analysis, I have made several recommendations. I hope that the University finds my project a useful tool when reviewing literature and services provided to NIU students.
