Abstract
This senior design (capstone) project is an implementation of an audio graphic equalizer using digital electronic components. The goal of this project is to design and develop a lO-band Digital Graphic Equalizer System. The purpose of this project is to control the frequency characteristics of an electronic audio signal. The operation of the Digital Graphic Equalizer System is controlled by and designed around the Motorola DSP56001 digital signal processor which is a microprocessor that can be used for signal filtering applications. The hardware and the software for this project were designed and developed separately and then combined to form the entire Digital Graphic Equalizer System. In conclusion, the Digital Graphic Equalizer System is an interesting and challenging senior design project utilizing my knowledge in both electrical engineering and music.
