Abstract
St. Catherines Island, Georgia, has been an area of archaeological investigations since the mid-nineteenth century. ... The focus of this paper is to describe the methodology utilized for the investigation. The methodology used in this study involves examining the dental wear in order to determine age at death. The basis of this study is the archaeologically recovered human remains from an early contact period involving the Spanish mission, Santa Catalina de Guale, on St. Catherines Island. Following is a brief discussion of the history of St. Catherines Island and a detailed discussion of the methodology utilized for the study.
