Abstract
The present project is a resource manual that a family therapist can refer to in preparation for working with families affected by divorce. The manual is comprised of seven sections: (1) The Decision to Divorce, (2) Co-parenting, (3) Families with Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers, (4) Families with School-Age Children, (5) Families with Adolescents, (6) Domestic Violence, and (7) Legal Issues. Appendices include recommended activities for children, recommended books, and domestic violence screening questions for adults and children. Each section of this manual is based on current research published in professional journals and books recommended by the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).
