Abstract

The thesis contains an explanation of the conversion of the current CICS procedures for CSCI 46. The procedures to be converted include: GENSMAP, GENPMAP, GENPGM, and CSCI 466. The new JCL steps to be added include: DEFINTRA, DEFTEMP, DELINTRA, and DELTEMP. These steps are needed to convert from version 1.5 to version 1.6.1. The DEFINTRA step will execute the IDCAMS utility to define a VSAM cluster for intrapartition work space. The DEFTEMP step will execute the IDCAMS utility to define a VSAM cluster for temporary storage work space. The DELINTRA and DELTEMP steps will execute the IDCAMS utility to delete the VSAM clusters defined in the previous two steps. Models for these steps are provided and can be copied over to both HARRIS and SUPERWYLBUR accounts. With only minor changes, the conversion can be done easily.
