Abstract
Enterprise-wide software solutions are one of the latest trends, especially in the U.S. Many U.S. firms that operate on a global scale need this kind of integrated solution in order to compete globally. The boom in the computer industry has spurred the creation of hundreds, if not thousands of firms -- each in different areas and niches to support the industry'S growth. There are dozens of firms specializing in the development of enterprise-wide software, and just as many if not more, consulting firms (including all of the big six accounting firms) specializing in the implementation of these solutions.
