Abstract
The American Heart Association is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization, supported by private contributions, whose mission is to reduce early death and disability from heart disease and related disorders. These diseases kill almost as many Americans as all other causes of death combined; nearly one million. The Association is organized nationally to bring together volunteers willing to support this cause.
