Abstract
These works focus on the interconnectedness of the commonplace, the world, and the universe as a whole. Utilizing imagery originating in the natural world, photographic compositions are layered and blended through Photoshop to become optically dense abstractions. The visual energy creates an intensified sensory perception and viewing experience. Bringing forth ideas about the microcosm and macrocosm instills a contemplative process of looking, which plays on the human need to know and understand. A philosophy of interconnectivity unites the representational and abstract, fusing the two within sublime iterations of the tangible world. These pieces hone metaphysical entropy as a means to achieve a higher consciousness of our world.
