Abstract
A sense of familiarity and comfort can be found in many things we keep close to us. Being at home or with friends and family are examples of what we may consider sources of comfort. Although I am in a place of comfort, there are still many struggles I continue to face with my battle for my mental health. Each of us have our own paths and make different decisions, but we all find ourselves in need of time for healing and recovery. In my photographs I explore the dynamics within my family and create depictions of everyday thoughts and feelings we have while we work with each other to keep our family whole. Despite our home and the familial comfort, there is still struggle and fear, but there is still hope, happiness, and recovery too.
