Abstract

INTRODUCTION In recent years there has been a radical change in the philosophy concerning the use of weights in training for various athletic activities. Formerly, it was believed the use of weights by an athlete would make him ’'muscle-bound", slow, leas flexible, and in general, might impair his ability to master skills or even reduce the level of skill previously attained.
