Abstract

A series of aryl-substituted phosphines have been prepared using superelectrophilic aromatic substitution chemistry. This chemistry involves reactive phosphonium-carbenium dications and related species. In addition to low molecular weight aryl-substituted phosphines, we also are able to prepare functionalized polystyrene products.
