Abstract
The Wisdom and Heart of Henry Miller is a compiled script consisting of excerpts culled from the literary works of the writer Henry Miller. The passages selected were found in Miller's novels, literary essays and correspondences. The intention of the endeavor was to present Henry Miller, the man and his literature, to an audience, with or without previous Miller acquaintance, in an effort to kindle an interest in a literary figure of immense stature who has not received the recognition justly deserved. No attempt has been made to present an "ideal" Miller, nor does the script warrant disclaimers of deification or glorification. On the contrary, readers will be introduced to a passionate, all-embracing humanist who devoted his life to the perpetuation of truth and the championing of the creative self and the development of the individual in society.
