Abstract

A positive school climate has been related to increase in student achievement, teacher satisfaction, and teacher retention. One of the most influential aspects of developing a positive school climate hinges on principal leadership style. The Development of a New Comprehensive Measure of School Climate assesses six key areas related to school climate and how principal leadership impacts teacher satisfaction.
