Abstract
Fuzzy controllers are often used in situations where there is a nonlinear and (or) uncertainty system. Therefore, the stability analysis is the most important issue for the fuzzy control systems. This thesis presents a stability analysis for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems based on the Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The new stability conditions for a generalized class of uncertain nonlinear systems are derived and are used to analyze the stability of Takagi-Sugeno?s fuzzy control systems. An advantage of those conditions derived in this thesis is the ease of checking the stability conditions. Finally, some design examples of fuzzy controllers for stabilizing nonlinear systems are presented.
