Abstract
This thesis presents four designs for inexpensive music synthesizers attached to small computers as peripherals. Cost of components is under $75 for each of the designs. Three of the designs are polyphonic. The fourth is a complex wave generator, and could simulate multiple voices by producing a combination wave. The goal of the fourth design is to simulate the designs available on more expensive machines. Programming guidelines are included. The designs are the original work of the author.
