Abstract
The objective was to sustain in vivo laboratory- infections of Eimeria stiedae in vitro. Two series of experiments were performed. The first, consisting of four experiments proved a failure while the second five experiments were successful. The parasite was identified in both, stained and living preparations. A heterologous nutrient medium of TC 199, Bovine Serum, and Whole Egg Ultrafiltrate sustained the cultures. The technique was to grow the infected liver tissues as monolayers in Leighton tubes.
