Abstract

The projected goals for this study were; 1. To determine what species of Dresophila in the Montgomery Arboretum are attracted to traps baited with fermenting bananas at a given of the day. 2. To find whether or not the captured species culturable on yeasted banana under laboratory conditions. 3. To ascertain whether or not there is any correlation between humidity, temperature, or barometric readings with the species collected. 4. To add to the knowledge of animal types found in the Arboretum. 5. And finally, to find the relative abundance of each species.
