Abstract
This thesis is devoted to the study of numerical comparison with respect to efficiency, storage requirements and accuracy, of various direct and indirect methods for computing the inertia of a matrix. It is believed that the results of our investigation and the softwares presented in this thesis, that implement these methods, will be of some practical value to the engineering community.
