Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze clothing problems of an individual with a long term figure problem stemming from poliomyelitis and design a wardrobe to meet her personal needs. After investigating the figure irregularity and resulting clothing problems to meet personal needs and life style of the subject, a complete travel wardrobe was designed to enhance the subject's best physcial features. The author designed and constructed nine garments for the subject. A basic sloper was developed by fitting a muslin to the body and a master pattern was used to draft garments included in the project. The basic wardrobe included: bathing suit and cover-up, afternoon or cocktail dress, casual afternoon dress, long gown, a three piece suit consisting of jacket, skirt, and slacks. A body suit was designed to wear with the slacks or the skirt.
