Abstract
Designing A Business: A Guide for Design Managers is a guide written for graphic designers who are either starting to manage or managing a design firm or an in-house design department. The guide directs the design manager through the process of business planning by making a correlation between the tasks of business planning and the tasks involved in the creative process used in graphic design. Designing A Business covers topics such as project definition, establishing objectives, mission statements, market research, legal constraints, financial planning, sales strategies, and implementation issues.
