Abstract
This thesis provides a general description of liquid structure factors, WCA and linearised WCA theory. The WCA theory is derived from the hard-sphere model, and the linearised WCA method simplifies the calculation of WCA theory by the use of four different potentials. It shows that the linearised WCA method agrees very well with the WCA theory. A comparison of these theoretical results and experimental results is also provided by this thesis.
