Abstract
PURPOSES OF THE STUDY The purposes of this study are fourfold: 1. To investigate the number of schools currently offering "accelerated" Science Classes. 2. To investigate the methods used in selecting students to participation in "accelerated" programs. 3. To point up strengths and weaknesses of present methods of selection. 4. To improve upon methods currently used.
