Abstract
Over the last few months, I have had the opportunity to work on a research project studying a particular gene involved in collective cell migration using Drosophila Melanogaster, aided by the Student Engagement Fund (SEF). This reflection focuses on the research process, and the impact the project/SEF has had on my academic career.
