Abstract

As an education major it is important to understand and be able to properly assess disabilities that I may come in contact with when I have a classroom of my own. With many government laws like IDEA, which is the law authorizing special education, and No Child Left Behind I feel it is in my best interest to stay abreast of current accommodations and modifications both research and teachers suggest for students with disabilities. By doing this I am providing my students with a chance to succeed in the best possible environment. I am also staying up-to-date and compliant with government regulations.
