Abstract
Dressember: Music for Social Change was a recital held on Tuesday, December 4th, 2018, at the Northern Illinois University School of Music. The recital combined music with social justice, featuring all music by female composers and explaining about Dressember, a fundraising campaign to help end modern day slavery. This had an impact in the community, raising awareness and starting conversations. This was an important step toward a world in which every person can live with the freedom and dignity they deserve.
