Abstract

Statement of the Problem The purpose of this study is to develop and to construct a study guide for a home-study course in Briefhand, and abbreviated method of notetaking. Sub-problems The development of this study has presented three sub-problems. 1. To determine the status of home-study courses in shorthand. 2. To determine what materials are included in the typical home-study course in shorthand. 3. To develop a study guide which will aid the student in developing Briefhand skill through a home-study course.
