Abstract

During the summer of 1957, the author had a course in parasitology with Doctor Rohde, Part of the work in the course included an Individual study of parasites of any host we wished to select. I, along with another person, decided to examine pigeons for ectoparasites. From the standpoint of parasites collected the choice was a good one; a substantial number were collected and identified. That project served as a starting point for further study of the parasites of pigeons.
