Abstract

Paper chromatography is a relatively new procedure for the separation, purification, and analysis of compounds# During the past twelve years the procedures of paper chromatography have been developed to a remarkable degree. The purpose of this paper is to present an overall view of the subject and to familiarize the reader with the position of paper chromatography in the field of chemistry today It is anticipated that this paper may prove useful to the chemistry student or instructor who wishes to adapt this versatile new method to his own field of interest.
