Abstract

Table algebras and C-algebras are algebras over the complex numbers with a distinguished basis that satisfies certain axioms. In particular, the structure constants are real numbers. Classification theorems are proved for various types of 4-dimensional C-algebras and table algebras. These include all standard, integral primitive P-polynomial C-algebras, all primitive P-polynomial table algebras, and all primitive table algebras with nonreal elements. These classifications will have combinatorial applications to association schemes.
